Update (12/24/2021)

We pray and hope that this year’s Christmas has been a blessing for you and your family. It is unfortunate to say that as of recent, we are seeing cases of COVID-19 on the rise once again. In Los Angeles County, we have seen a drastic 30% daily increase in positive cases.

Our church community has been no exception. In just the last few days, we have received numerous calls from our members sharing that they have been positively diagnosed with COVID. Others have also reported that they’re under quarantine, because family members have been diagnosed.

In light of these developments, our church session has come to the difficult decision that all remaining services for this year will be reverted to strictly online. As difficult and heavy as decision may be for all of us, especially as we look to the celebration of the coming of our Lord and Savior, this decision has been made to ensure and prioritize the safety of our community and congregation.

DETAILED ITINERARY:

Cancelled Events
- Christmas Eve Worship (12/24 @ 630pm)
- NYE Worship (12/31 @ 11pm)

Online Worship (Available via YouTube & Homepage)
- KM Christmas Day Worship (12/25 @ 11am)
- KM Morning Worship (12/27-12/31 @ 530am)
- PowerWave Sunday Worship (12/26 @ 1130am)
- EM Sunday Worship (12/26 @ 2pm)

Following these dates, the decision to whether resume online worship or to revert back to in-person will be made as we carefully watch the situation in January. We pray that God will be glorified as we worship in our respective homes, and that God’s blessing will overflow in our families as we navigate through this time. Thank you for your understanding.

Update (10/24/2021)

As of October 2021, we will no longer require registration to attend in-person worship. We still ask that all attending persons wear masks and practice social distance while at our church.

Online worship will continue to be available via YouTube (www.youtube.com/c/laonnuriem). For more information regarding location and parking, please click on the link below:

Update (4/21/2021)

With the decreasing numbers of cases of COVID-19, and the vaccine becoming more available for the general public, the State of California launched the “Blueprint for a Safer Economy” (https://covid19.ca.gov/safer-economy) roadmap, which indicates how businesses and organizations can operate according to current state conditions.

As of March 30th, 2021, the county of Los Angeles is at color ‘ORANGE’, or at Moderate Level. This means that places of worship can open and hold indoor worship at Max 50% capacity. In light of these developments, the following are the plans and protocols set by Los Angeles Onnuri Church English Ministry in preparation for reopening:

  1. When will the church reopen?

    • We are planning to launch in-person worship on May 2nd, 2021

  2. Where and what time will the service be held?

    • Sunday service will be held at Vision Hall (2nd floor of Main Campus, 743 S. Grand View St.) @ 2pm

  3. Who can attend the service?

    • Anyone who has symptoms or signs of illness will be asked to refrain from attending

    • Newcomers will be allowed to attend upon signing a liability form

    • Attendance will be available via RSVP (Max 30 people)

  4. What precautions will be in place to ensure safety of those who attend?

    • Social Distancing will be enforced - Masks will be mandatory

    • Temperature checks will be conducted at the entrance - Disinfectant items will be available at the entrance (hand sanitizer, wipes, etc.)

    • Attendance will be strictly limited to 50% of person capacity

  5. How will parking work?

    • Parking will be available at the Main Campus lot, as well as the Clinica Medica General lot (727 S. Lake St. Los Angeles, CA 90057)

  6. What if I don’t feel comfortable yet attending the in-person worship?

    • Worship will continue to be available via Live Stream through YouTube @ 2pm

The goal of LAOC English Ministry is not to reopen as soon as possible, but to reopen with careful and prayerful preparation. At the same time, our intention will be to work diligently and boldly in moving forward, striving to gather together in order to spur one another towards love and good deeds as the gospel-centered church of Jesus Christ (Hebrews 10:24-25). If you have any questions or concerns regarding the information above, please feel free to reach out to the church at any time.
